Bookworms at Kathavana, Children’s literature Festival by Azim Premji Foundation

Kathavana was imagined as a Children’s Literature Festival over 3 days in the heart of ‘old’ Bangalore. The Festival made efforts in programming to cover a wide range of dimensions of Literature from oral, performing arts, print and visual media. Authors and illustrators were invited to interact with children and conduct workshops. In addition there were specific workshops and thematic sessions for teacher educators/ interested public/ librarians and others.

Bookworm was invited to participate for all three days and was given a ‘free’ hand to plan and organize activities around books for children. The Bookworm team comprised of 5 persons and a range of activities around books was planned to span the three days.
