The Joy of Writing Well: PART 2
With a special focus on short-story writing, this two-session workshop is a follow- up to the previous Joy of Writing Well workshops held in April and June 2016. The aim of the workshop will be, once again, strengthening student writing skills through the sharing and practice of the qualities that make good writing – this time, with specific emphasis on short story writing.
Who: Open to students between the ages of 11-15.
First- time participants are welcome. The session will open with a brief review of the good writing strategies that were shared in Part 1 of The Joy of Writing Well.
When: This workshop will be run in two consecutive sessions from 4:30PM – 6:00PM over Friday, 26th August and Saturday, 27th August 2016
The workshop is directed by Mariam Sandhu, an International Educator, who has taught Literacy and Writing at IB Schools in Shanghai, Dubai and Singapore. With over 20 years of experience in the teaching of writing , and most specifically, student learning, Ms. Sandhu has set up Writing Centres at a number of IB international schools and is well-versed in strategies that promote English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
