When life gives you scraps…stitch!

The Bard is going to tell a rhyme,
Of some happy, carefree stitching time!

13 ladies (& Niju) met in the park,
With thread on fabric to leave a mark.

On the bandstand we all happily sat;
surrounded by coloured thread (& scissors & cloth) on a mat!

The needles they went up & down;
as stories were shared all around.

There were peaceful moments & quiet spaces
…& attention was seen rapt on our faces.

A comfortable camaraderie had developed;
as in our stitching world we were enveloped.

The sun settled down to a comfortable glow,
& a cool, pleasant breeze began to blow

Then time to wrap up, so finishing knots,
as we got ready to leave; next Wednesday already in our thoughts.

Our stitching project is coming together, bit by bit;
